Deb Murray, Faculty Advisor
My name is Deb Murray and I am the faculty advisor for the sorority. I am originally from Somerset, Massachusetts but have loved living and teaching in North Carolina for the past 27 years. As a faculty member, I serve as the Aquatics Director, Health Education Coordinator, and Adapted Physical Activity Specialist for the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at UNC-CH. I have been married for nearly 24 years to Greg Murray, who is a teacher and coach at Durham Academy in Durham, NC, and we have 2 amazing daughters, Erika and Mariel.
It has been my pleasure serving the incredibly talented and loving sisters of Phi Beta Chi by attending nearly all sorority functions and supporting the sisters while meeting their academic, philanthropic, leadership and personal goals. I have been captivated watching the sisterhood grow in number, unity and accomplishments and welcome all opportunities to brag about this these spectacular women. I feel blessed to be part of this organization and look forward to welcoming more women who share Christian ideals into the sisterhood.

Sharon Miller, Pastoral Advisor
Sharon Miller leads Bright City Church in Durham with her husband, Ike. She is also a writer, a speaker, and a mom. Sharon is excited about Phi Beta Chi because she loves college students, and she believes in the world-changing potential of women following Jesus together!
